"Yam City"

Interesting Fact

Tabor City was once known as the "Yam Capital of the World"

due to the high production and sale of sweet potatoes.

We still celebrate sweet potatoes (YAMS as we call 'em) among many other agricultural crops.

We are very proud of our heritage.
